Planning Our Outfits: Fourth of July

Ok, so we know we are a week early, and planning our outfits this far in advance seems a little ridiculous...but hey, we work in retail and think about this stuff 24/7.

Paige is planning on going downtown to watch the fireworks at the Mall.  Her casual, yet stylish look consists of: Elizabeth Cole Mohawk Earrings, Tom Ford Ava Sunglasses, Joie Barberry Blazer, Vince Ribbed Tank, 7 For All Mankind Ikat Jeans, and Elizabeth and James Sandals.

Kate's going to a rooftop party, and wants to be festive, but not scream Red, White, and Blue.  So the the red in her look will come from the cosmetics...Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl and OPI Nail Polish in Monsooner or Later.  The blue and white Achelle Dress from DVF is the perfect compliment.  To finish off her look and keep it comfortable, she will be wearing her silver Tkees flip flops.

Emily will be at work on the Fourth (so come visit at Wink).  Still wanting to get in the spirit of the Holiday, her look is fun and fashionable.  She will be sporting an Equipment Floral Shirt and Red Noalda Theory Shorts.  Topping her look off with Miguel Ases Blue Quartz and Swarovski Crystal Earrings, Stuart Weitzman Alex Wedges, and a Sogoli Wrap Bracelet.

What can we say, we live in DC, the Fourth of July is a big deal here...so we like to be festive!

Livin' The High-Lite

Clockwise from top: Shashi Neon Nugget Bracelet $25, Leyendecker Vonn Top $230, DVF Grandie Top $245, Theory Aleksy Sweater $265, J Brand 811 in Shocking Pink $180, Hanky Panky Low Rise Thongs $20, Cynthia Vincent Berkeley Ikat Bag $295
When I was in college, I was THAT student. You know, the girl who not only highlights the readings, but the one who color-coded and separated her notes, all around abusing the 5 different highlighter colors that came in a pack. Imagine my excitement when the same beloved pen colors started popping up all over our Spring arrivals! My personal favorite was always shocking pink, but you really can't go wrong with a classic electric yellow, or an oh so subtle radioactive lime. Feel free to rock them head to toe in a blinding dress, or, for the faint of heart, add a splash with a funky bracelet. Anyone completely terrified to try the trend? Pick up a pair of the super popular Hanky Panky low-riders, and keep your neon secret in your pants.

Stay Awesome,
Kate
