Emily's Game Changers of 2012

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso.  So 2012 was my year to break into the red lipstick trend...and I love it!  Thanks to the girls at Sephora for helping me pick the perfect color, Beso by Stila.  I have "figuratively" (I'm not using the word "literally" anymore, seeing as it was very overplayed in 2012) tried every red lipstick out there, and this is the one for me.  The best part is, is it dries pretty fast, so I don't have to worry about the red chin/nose effect.

Spectrum Chia Seeds.  The girls at Wink may all make fun of me, but I drink a massive smoothie everyday, and I don't feel the same if I don't have one.  I put two scoops of chia seeds in it and I don't know exactly what it's doing, but I heard it was good for, and I feel great.  I just hope I don't start growing grass sprouts everywhere...hehe, I miss my Chia Pet!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  This is not false advertising...it really is magic!  You know when you have sticky plastic/tape on glass and you can't get the residue off...well, the Magic Eraser can.  That's how I discovered it, and I always turn to Mr. Clean now, when I have a tough job to get done.

Oil of Olay Total Effects CC Cream.  I'm sure you've all heard about BB Cream, it's marketed to act as everything..serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock.  CC cream just takes it one step further and adds in color control.  It's so light, I hardly feel like I have anything on.

Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint.  My husband calls me Midas, and for good reason. I spray everything in my house gold.  I love vintage, but a lot of times pieces need to be refreshed...nothing a little gold spray paint can't take care of!

Organizing Drawers with the Roll.  I redo my closet/dresser drawers all of the time.  I am always trying to think of new ways to organize so that I can see everything in my wardrobe.  Well, I've figured it out..the roll instead of the fold.  Now, in all of my drawers, I can always see all of my tops, sweaters, and jeans...it's wonderful, and made my life so much easier!

Featherlite NuBra.  I swear by these, and I don't mind telling the world.  I wear mine at least twice a week, and wash it in the sink with mild soap and fingertips (not nails), and then let it air dry...and voila, it's sticky again!

Conair Ceramic Ionic Hot Air Brush.  For those of you who don't know me, I have extremely kinky curly hair, and have probably tried everything under the sun to keep it straight.  This hair dryer is my savior.  It smooths my curls without flattening my hair, and doesn't make my ends look completely fried, like straightening irons do.  The biggest pro is that it only takes me 10-15 minutes to dry my hair!

Griswald.  Last but not least is my biggest game changer...my dog, Griswald.  Otherwise known as Griz, Grizzy, The Dude, or Booboo.  He may have a big bark and need a lot of attention, but he's got the sweetest face, and he's a little lover.  BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO ME ALL YEAR!!!
